This is the story of Little Red Riding Hood [э́та исто́рия о ма́ленькой кра́сной ша́почке]. She’s got a red coat with a hood [у неё есть кра́сный плащ с капюшо́ном]. She loves the coat [она́ лю́бит э́тот плащ]. She wears it every day [она́ но́сит его́ ка́ждый день]. She’s very happy today [сего́дня она́ о́чень сча́стлива]. It’s her birthday [сего́дня у её день рожде́ния]. Little Red Riding Hood’s father is a woodcutter [оте́ц ма́ленькой кра́сной ша́почки дровосе́к]. He works in the forest every day [он рабо́тает в лесу́ ка́ждый день]. A lot of animals live in the forest [мно́жество живо́тных живёт в том лесу́], and a wolf lives there too [и там же живёт волк]!

This is the story of Little Red Riding Hood. She’s got a red coat with a hood. She loves the coat. She wears it every day. She’s very happy today. It’s her birthday. Little Red Riding Hood’s father is a woodcutter. He works in the forest every day. A lot of animals live in the forest, and a wolf lives there too!

Little Red Riding Hood’s mother says [ма́тушка ма́ленькой кра́сной ша́почки говори́т]: "Grandmother is ill in bed ["ба́бушка больна́я и лежи́т в крова́ти]. Go to her house [отправля́йся к её до́му]. Take her some bread and jam [возьми́ ей хлеб и варе́нье]. But be careful [но будь осторо́жна]! A wolf lives in the forest [в лесу́ живёт волк]!". "Yes, Mother," says Little Red Riding Hood ["хорошо́, ма́тушка", сказа́ла кра́сная ша́почка]. Little Red Riding Hood loves Grandmother [кра́сная ша́почка лю́бит ба́бушку]. She is happy [она́ ра́да]. She wants to see her [она́ хо́чет уви́деть её].

Little Red Riding Hood’s mother says: "Grandmother is ill in bed. Go to her house. Take her some bread and jam. But be careful! A wolf lives in the forest!". "Yes, Mother," says Little Red Riding Hood. Little Red Riding Hood loves Grandmother. She is happy. She wants to see her.

Little Red Riding Hood goes into the forest [ма́ленькая кра́сная ша́почка вхо́дит в лес]. She sees a wolf [она́ ви́дит во́лка]! She isn’t afraid of him and she talks to him [она́ не бои́тся его́, и разгова́ривает с ним].

"Hello!" she says ["здра́вствуйте!" говори́т она́]."Good morning," says the wolf. "What’s your name ["до́брое у́тро" сказа́л волк. "как тебя́ зову́т]?""Little Red Riding Hood. I’m going to Grandmother’s house," she says ["ма́ленькая кра́сная ша́почка. я направля́юсь к до́му ба́бушки" говори́т она́]."What’s in your basket?" asks the wolf ["что в твое́й корзи́нке?" спра́шивает волк]"Some bred and jam. Grandmother is ill," says Little Red Riding Hood ["хлеб и варе́нье. ба́бушка пло́хо себя́ чу́вствует" говори́т кра́сная ша́почка]."Where does Grandmother live?" asks the wolf ["где живёт ба́бушка?" спра́шивает волк]."She lives in a small house in the forest," says Little Red Riding Hood ["она́ живёт в ма́леньком до́мике, в лесу́" отвеча́ет ма́ленькая кра́сная ша́почка]."Little Red Riding Hood looks nice ["ма́ленькая кра́сная ша́почка хоро́шенькая]. I want to eat her and Grandmother [я хочу́ съесть её и её ба́бушку]," the wolf thinks [ду́мает волк]. "I am fast. I can run. I know what I can do… ["я бы́стрый. я могу́ бе́гать. я зна́ю, что я могу́ сде́лать]" The wolf runs to Grandmother’s house [волк бежит к до́му ба́бушки]. He runs very quickly [он бежит о́чень бы́стро]. He wants to eat Grandmother [он хо́чет съесть ба́бушку]. The wolf knocks on Grandmother’s door [волк стучи́т в дверь ба́бушки].


Little Red Riding Hood goes into the forest. She sees a wolf! She isn’t afraid of him and she talks to him.

"Hello!" she says."Good morning," says the wolf. "What’s your name?""Little Red Riding Hood. I’m going to Grandmother’s house," she says."What’s in your basket?" asks the wolf
"Some bred and jam. Grandmother is ill," says Little Red Riding Hood."Where does Grandmother live?" asks the wolf."She lives in a small house in the forest," says Little Red Riding Hood."Little Red Riding Hood looks nice. I want to eat her and Grandmother," the wolf thinks. "I am fast. I can run. I know what I can do…" The wolf runs to Grandmother’s house. He runs very quickly. He wants to eat Grandmother. The wolf knocks on Grandmother’s door.


"Who is it?" asks Grandmother ["кто э́то?" спра́шивает ба́бушка]. "Little Red Riding Hood," says the wolf ["ма́ленькая кра́сная ша́почка" отвеча́ет волк]. "I’ve got some bread and jam for you [я принесла́ хлеб и варе́нье для тебя́]." "Come in," says Grandmother ["входи́" говори́т ба́бушка]. The wolf runs in [волк вбега́ет внутрь]. "Help!" shouts Grandmother ["на по́мощь!" кричи́т ба́бушка]. "Don’t eat me!" She jumps into the wardrobe ["не ешь меня́!" она́ запры́гивает в шкаф]. "I will eat you later!" says the wolf ["я съем тебя́ по́зже!" говори́т волк]. Now the wolf is wearing Grandmother’s night-cap [и вот волк надева́ет ба́бушкин ночно́й колпа́к]. He’s in Grandmother’s bed [он в крова́ти ба́бушки]. He’s waiting for Little Red Riding Hood [он ждёт ма́ленькую кра́сную ша́почку]. She knocks on the door [она́ стучи́т в дверь]. "Who is it?" asks the wolf ["кто э́то?" спра́шивает волк]. "Little Red Riding Hood," she says ["ма́ленькая кра́сная ша́почка" отвеча́ет она́]. "I’ve got some bread and jam for you ["я несу́ тебе́ хлеб и варе́нье]." "Come in", says the wolf. "I’m ill in bed ["входи́", говори́т волк. "я больна́я, в крова́ти]."

"Who is it?" asks Grandmother. "Little Red Riding Hood," says the wolf. "I’ve got some bread and jam for you." "Come in," says Grandmother. The wolf runs in. "Help!" shouts Grandmother. "Don’t eat me!" She jumps into the wardrobe. "I will eat you later!" says the wolf. Now the wolf is wearing Grandmother’s night-cap. He’s in Grandmother’s bed. He’s waiting for Little Red Riding Hood. She knocks on the door. "Who is it?" asks the wolf. "Little Red Riding Hood," she says. "I’ve got some bread and jam for you." "Come in", says the wolf. "I’m ill in bed."

Little Red Riding Hood goes into the house [ма́ленькая кра́сная ша́почка вхо́дит в дом]. The wolf is in Grandmother’s bed [волк лежи́т в крова́ти ба́бушки]. Little Red Riding Hood doesn’t know it is the wolf [ма́ленькая кра́сная ша́почка не зна́ет, что э́то волк]. "You’ve got very big eyes, Grandmother!" says Little Red Riding Hood ["бабу́ля, у тебя́ о́чень больши́е глаза́!", говори́т ма́ленькая кра́сная ша́почка]. "So I can see you," says the wolf ["так, я могу́ тебя́ ви́деть" говори́т волк]. "You’ve got very big hands, Grandmother!" says Little Red Riding Hood ["бабу́ля, у тебя́ таки́е больши́е ру́ки!", говори́т ма́ленькая кра́сная ша́почка]. "So I can hold you," says the wolf ["так, я могу́ тебя́ держа́ть" говори́т волк]. "You’ve got very big teeth, Grandmother!" says Little Red Riding Hood ["бабу́ля, у тебя́ о́чень больши́е зу́бы!", говори́т ма́ленькая кра́сная ша́почка]. The wolf jumps out of bed and he eats Little Red Riding Hood [волк выпры́гивает из крова́ти и съеда́ет ма́ленькую кра́сную ша́почку]. He runs into the forest [он бежит вглубь леса]. Little Red Riding Hood’s father goes to Grandmother’s house [оте́ц ма́ленькой кра́сной ша́почки идёт к до́му ба́бушки]. He wants to see her because she is ill [он хо́чет уви́деть её, потому́ что она́ больна́]. He opens the door [он открыва́ет дверь]. "Hello!" he says ["есть кто до́ма?" говори́т он]. "Help! Help!" shouts Grandmother ["помоги́те! на по́мощь!" кричи́т ба́бушка]. He goes to the wardrobe and he opens the door [он идёт к шка́фу и открыва́ет его́ две́рцу]. "Are you OK?" he asks ["ты в поря́дке?" спра́шивает оте́ц]. "Yes, I am. But go and help Little Red Riding Hood!" says Grandmother ["да, я в поря́дке. но иди́ и помоги́ кра́сной ша́почке" говори́т ба́бушка]. The woodcutter runs into the forest [дровосе́к бежит в лес].

Little Red Riding Hood goes into the house. The wolf is in Grandmother’s bed. Little Red Riding Hood doesn’t know it is the wolf. "You’ve got very big eyes, Grandmother!" says Little Red Riding Hood. "So I can see you," says the wolf. "You’ve got very big hands, Grandmother!" says Little Red Riding Hood. "So I can hold you," says the wolf. "You’ve got very big teeth, Grandmother!" says Little Red Riding Hood. "So I can eat you," says the wolf. The wolf jumps out of bed and he eats Little Red Riding Hood. He runs into the forest. Little Red Riding Hood’s father goes to Grandmother’s house. He wants to see her because she is ill. He opens the door. "Hello!" he says. "Help! Help!" shouts Grandmother. He goes to the wardrobe and he opens the door. "Are you OK?" he asks. "Yes, I am. But go and help Little Red Riding Hood!" says Grandmother. The woodcutter runs into the forest.

The wolf is sleeping under a tree [волк спит под де́ревом]. The woodcutter finds him [дровосе́к нахо́дит его́]. He can hear Little Red Riding Hood in the wolf’s tummy [он слы́шит ма́ленькую кра́сную ша́почку в животе́ во́лка]. He opens the wolf’s tummy with his axe [он открыва́ет живо́т во́лка топоро́м]. He takes out Little Red Riding Hood [он вынима́ет ма́ленькую кра́сную ша́почку]. "Oh Father!" says Little Red Riding Hood. "Thank you ["ох, па́почка!" говори́т ма́ленькая кра́сная ша́почка. "спаси́бо]!" Little Red Riding Hood and her father laugh and dance [ма́ленькая кра́сная ша́почка и её оте́ц танцу́ют и смею́тся]. They are very happy [они́ о́чень сча́стливы]. They go to Grandmother’s house [они́ иду́т к до́му ба́бушки]. They eat bread and jam with Grandmother [они́ едят хлеб и варе́нье вме́сте с ба́бушкой]. The wolf wakes up [волк просыпа́ется]. He feels ill [он чу́вствует себя́ пло́хо]. He wants to drink some water [он хо́чет попи́ть воды́]. He goes to the river but he falls in the water! SPLASH [он идёт к реке́, но он па́дает в во́ду]! Down and down he goes [бры́зги]. Little Red Riding Hood [глу́бже и глу́бже он ухо́дит под воду], Grandmother and the woodcutter don’t see him again [ма́ленькая кра́сная ша́почка, ба́бушка и дровосе́к больше не ви́дели его́ сно́ва].

The wolf is sleeping under a tree. The woodcutter finds him. He can hear Little Red Riding Hood in the wolf’s tummy. He opens the wolf’s tummy with his axe. He takes out Little Red Riding Hood. "Oh Father!" says Little Red Riding Hood. "Thank you!" Little Red Riding Hood and her father laugh and dance. They are very happy. They go to Grandmother’s house. They eat bread and jam with Grandmother. The wolf wakes up. He feels ill. He wants to drink some water. He goes to the river but he falls in the water! SPLASH! Down and down he goes. Little Red Riding Hood, Grandmother and the woodcutter don’t see him again.
